Organised by the KCB in Brussels on 21 and 22 june 1913, the first winner of the first Belgian Championship of ringsport was the famous Groenendael "JULES DU MOULIN" (LOB 2884). A great dog. The Groenendael TOP DE LA JOLIETTE was second before the Tervueren KARL DE LA MARE and the Malinois TOM DES CROSNES. JULES DU MOULIN won also the Championship of 1914 (20-21 june).

From the First World War to 2000, only Malinois (male or female) won the title with exception in 1927 (TORRY DE L’OMBRELLE - LOB 11172 - rough-haired) and 1960/1961 ( JOHN - LOB 76361 - rough-haired). The best result for another breed than the Belgian Shepperd Dog, was the second place of the Bouvier SICKY DER BEGIJNTJES (LOB 56425) in 1950.

Have won the title minimum three times :

CAPI DE LA SOIERIE (LOB 11640) in 1930, 1932 and 1932
SNAP VAN DEN LEEUW (LOB 18108) in 1934, 1935, 1936 and 1937. 
JACK DE BEKA (LOB 40119) in 1947, 1948, 1949 and 1952. 
TORRO VAN ‘T ROLUSHOF (LOB 83530) in 1964, 1966 and 1969.
REX VAN DE WELKOM (LOB 87045) in 1966, 1967 and 1970. 
ALK (ALOB 3498) in 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978 and 1979.
STAVY (LOB 160551) in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
