Organised by the KCB in Brussels on 21 and 22 june 1913, the first winner of the first Belgian Championship of ringsport was the famous Groenendael "JULES DU MOULIN" (LOB 2884). A great dog. The Groenendael TOP DE LA JOLIETTE was second before the Tervueren KARL DE LA MARE and the Malinois TOM DES CROSNES. JULES DU MOULIN won also the Championship of 1914 (20-21 june). From the First World War to 2000, only Malinois
(male or female) won the title with exception in 1927 (TORRY DE L’OMBRELLE
- LOB 11172 - rough-haired) and 1960/1961 ( JOHN - LOB 76361 -
rough-haired). The best result for another breed than the
Belgian Shepperd Dog,
was the second place of the Bouvier SICKY DER BEGIJNTJES (LOB 56425) in
1950.
